The 308 SW Prologue is a prototype that anticipates faithfully how it will be the familiar version of Peugeot 308. The 308 SW will be on sale at the beginning of 2008. With this new model, Peugeot will replace to the 307 relative (more information). At the moment, two variants of the 307 with familiar body are sold: “Break” (with five seats) and “SW” (with seven seats and panoramic ceiling).
Like the 307, it will have an ample back inner door and a maletero with a low loading plan, thus to facilitate the load of great objects. It will be able to take to bars trunks and panoramic ceiling.
The interior of the 308 SW will be similar to the one of the 308 (more information). It is an extensive, simple interior and with a good adjustment, although it does not have the aspect of quality of some recent cars. There will be different combinations from colors and materials for the tapestry, the salpicadero and the panels of the doors.
The range of motors of the 308 SW will be similar to the one of the 308. This one will be able to be bought - from September of 2007 - with two motors of gasoline and two Diesel engine.
Both motor of gasoline they will be two variants of the 1.6 l done jointly with BMW (that already takes the 207): one of CV (with indirect injection and without 120 turbocompressor) and another one with 150 CV (with direct injection and turbocompressor). Both Diesel they will be the 1.6 l HDi of 109 CV and the 2.0 l HDi of 136 CV, both with particle filter. More ahead, there will be other less powerful motors (more information).
According to versions, the change could be manual (of five or six speeds) or automatic (of four or six speeds).
